Worderlands

Hey, welcome to Worderlands - a writing community for...well, writers.

I have a lot in mind for this community, but so as to not overdo things we'll be starting small and adding new things later on as I have the mental capacity (and maybe other staff too).

For the duration of November, there'll be check-in posts that you can jump in on and let the community know how your writing goals are going.

In addition to this, rather than having a word count challenge for the month, I'll post a prompt table on or before 1 November with prompts that you can incorporate into either your current WIPs or new stories. Use them in whatever way your muse takes you. :)

In the meantime, feel free to drop a comment with an introduction - and a bit about what you write.

Perhaps I should have started here! Always excited to see active writing comms :) I rarely use prompts for my writing, I hope this is okay. I know they are useful to many writers.

As for an intro, hi, I'm vriddy and mostly write fantasy and science-fiction :) My current WIP is called the "soul thief," I just started on the first draft a week or so ago.

Excited about this comm! :)

That's an awesome title! Fantasy and sci-fi are my main areas too.

Using the prompts is entirely optional. Everyone has different processes and different things that inspire them, so go with whatever works best for you and your writing.

I have a vision of there being a lot of writing resources on this comm at some stage, and low key check-ins as an accountability or motivational tool.

For the moment, there'll be no sign ups for anything. Just participate in what sparks your interest and leave what doesn't. I'd like this to be more about building community, a bit at a time. :)
