We're already at day 3! Time is weird. Speaking of...here's today's prompt.
The challenge: Write a three-sentence story that involves the prompt and share it in the comments! The prompt doesn’t have to be used with the precise wording - just make sure it’s clear the prompt has inspired the piece.
There's no deadline on these stories, though sooner is better if you'd like others involved in the event to read and comment.

All the same, it stung for him to ask:
“I’m sorry, who are you?”
Not gonna lie, this one’s especially off the cuff—nothing but the prompt and pure vibes behind it, as far as I can figure. That being said, it was surprisingly difficult to avoid sounding too similar to yesterday’s response…
Red vs Blue ; Washington ; G [s16]

In his future, she's still a great doctor, his best friend, but she's also the mother of his child, the light of his life, someone he can't imagine his world without - his everything.
Ouroboros, Again - Johannes Cabal
Date: 2025-06-25 05:16 am (UTC)Cabal could not help eyebrows climbing towards the apex of his brow whilst he read the paper, for, for this... for it to truly be this simple all along, this future which haunted his every idle moment since that fateful day... for it to be attainable via but a few select chemical formulas—!?
"It's complicated, darling," laughed his fate in an echo of their first meeting, "but I never said it was impossible, either."
Meating Up, original

From the machine emerged my many counterparts from the different timelines, we surrounded each other, observing everyone's many different occupations–MMA fighter, soldier, even a pediatrician, among others.
A surgeon among our ranks got closer to me to say, "You don't seem very disturbed by the idea of their being multiple timelines, despite all the metaphysical implications about free choice here."
"That's not what surprises me," I said, my handing reaching out to touch the large scar of his face–It mirrored mine and the rest of our counterparts' down to its shade of pink, "I'm only disturbed mommy–That it was inevitable."
