Hi all,
How've you been going the last few weeks/months?
I'm thinking about running another challenge on here soon - maybe towards the end of June. It will likely be another week-long event. Who's in?
And I was also wondering... Would anyone be interested in a book club where we focus on writing craft-related books (with the possibility of other books in the future)?
Let me know what you think! :)

Date: 2025-05-18 08:49 pm (UTC)I was thinking maybe something like one chapter a week. I'm pretty slow as well, and I also don't read for fun as much since I do freelance editing work - that tires out my reading brain a fair bit. So, yes. Definitely not looking to do something with a super fast reading time!

Date: 2025-05-14 11:55 pm (UTC)To be honest probably less keen on craft-book book club as I am not the biggest reader of them and prefer to hone craft by reading the books I want to emulate. But discussion might be interesting so if you were to set it up, I'd maybe participate if it is something I could easily get from the library or borrow from writing group friends.

Date: 2025-05-18 08:51 pm (UTC)That's fair. Since it would be craft books, I was thinking maybe one chapter a week or something relatively slower paced for fitting in around other things. That'd depend on chapter length a bit, but I think that amount is enough to keep things moving along without being too much extra pressure on anyone who wants to read along.
Would you be more interested in other types of books for a book club? Or buddy reads? I've also been thinking setting up some kind of system for buddy reads could be good - though I'm still figuring out the format I'd want to use for that.
