Luigi let out a monster of a yawn as he plopped beside Mario, his head lolling as he murmured some sort of general dissent toward the rising Sun after working all night. Mario followed with a yawn of his own, and if Peach weren’t already in her own snoring slumber on Mario’s shoulder (“Just a little break from building,” she had been optimistic about), then she probably would have as well.
“Hey,” Mario said, patting Luigi’s knee as he shined him a grateful smile, “rest—you deserve it.”
