700 to 7k: Wrap up

Thanks to everyone who participated in our first 700 to 7k challenge! I hope you got something great out of it, whether you wrote more words or just enjoyed the posts and questions. :)

I'd love to know what you think. Like with the feedback from the November 2024 challenge, feedback may be incorporated into future challenges.

On that note, I'm already thinking about what might be next for Worderlands...

Don't worry - there's no event to rush to get ready for just yet. But there might be another 700 to 7k (or some similar variation) in a few months. I'm also playing with a few other ideas, but I'll leave that for another post another time.

That's really good to know about the number of prompts. I had gone with 3 based partly on feedback and partly on the reduced timeframe, but next time I'll try fewer or a mix of meta prompts (which someone else requested) and less meta ones.

Life is a little too...much...at the moment, so I can't see another challenge going up very soon. But I definitely will be running something else in a couple of months when I've got some more time to dedicate to it. Hopefully taking little breaks between challenges won't turn anyone off.

Little breaks in between works better for me honestly! Take as much time as you need, life is obviously the priority!

Ideas for future things are very welcome also!

Playing with a critique partner thing, and week-long editing challenge, and maybe a writing craft book club (with one book at a time, probably only a chapter a week til it's finished, then biiig break before the next book). And more actual writing challenges, maybe themed, maybe not?
