If I want to make good on a 700-word total, I’d have to get a bit more than 500 words down by the end of the day…

…Yeah, I’m just going to try and prove to myself that I can at least do one daily hundred’s worth.

As for my broader ambitions, I already alluded to such on day 1, which is to say that I (pipe)dream of a world in which I find my work reflected (or rather, refracted) further outward through others’ hearts and minds—where my material is endlessly digested and dissected in a myriad different ways, each of which a spark for further expression besides. I want to see insular wikis host to edit wars galore, translations and adaptations all bringing their own slants to the table, remixes and reconstructions fully capitalizing on new contexts and different insights…

My all-too-lofty yearnings aside, I’d indeed cite one Roland Barthes as central to my conceit of creativity…that being said, as per the above, I also hope to see what impressions other folks would yet have of me in that sense.

Even if I might not have managed in the end, your good wishes are much appreciated!

I hope you were able to achieve the daily hundred!

Unfortunately I was not—but the break I wound up semi-accidentally taking was enough for something to click on a chapter I was stuck on; so, there’s that!

Such huge goals. That's awesome.

Thank you (and thanks for hosting; forgot to mention as much, my bad)! To be honest, though, all I’m realistically hoping for is arguments in Ao3 comments sections and a couple subreddits (aside from at least some traffic directed here to Dreamwidth, of course)—my attitude to(/approach in posting) my art kind of hamstrings its chances of getting wide-reaching attention in the first place…

Do you write in a more literary style?

Well, I’d certainly be flattered for one to think so—that said, I’ve at least received some scattered praise in that ballpark, especially in comparison to most authorship throughout one of the fandoms I write for. Though, I’d more so think I have a more literary approach if anything, in the sense that I’d rather go by my own insights and feelings than behold myself to a given mode of thought or practice besides. As per that attitude I mentioned, I don’t (strictly) think in terms of genre or common conceits like “show vs. tell”; I just try to manifest my vision the best I can for others to behold as they will.

Another editing day for a couple of stories, though I did get about 100 new words added here and there that way :D

7s are fun haha. Thank you for hosting, it was fun! I wrote more than 700 but nowhere near 7000 so that worked out well :)
